Home

My Ceramic work is hand built with the emphasis on form and texture, inspired by natural forms and the landscape. I am interested in making work that shows evidence of the hand of the artist. I am not interested in smoothness and perfection, but in organic form and texture. I hand build using pinching, coiling and slabs and molds. I use a variety of clays and, with found objects, mark, texture and carve the work to achieve organic and sculptural forms.

This particular work was made in pursuing ideas about archetypal stories and
tales told by women and shown in 'Conteinir' at Georges Gallery in Folkestone 2009.
